I know they asked this over on Parenting, but I wanted to ask here. For those of you that peruse Etsy, what are your favorite shops? Baby-related or otherwise.
I can't really afford most anything that comes from Etsy or that is handmade or crafted with love (If it's crafted with a healthy dose of contempt and comes at a discount, then we'll talk). But, I still like wasting time perusing their stores...Here are a few of mine:
TrulySanctuary -- Self-dubbed unconventional baby and toddler clothes. Some of this stuff is really awesome.
Ugly Baby -- This shop is based out of Seattle (they have store-front down by Pikes Place Market), and their shower art is so inappropriate, that's why I love it.
Cori Dantini Art -- This is a local artist that I ran into at a craft fair (my life must sound so exciting right now). Her work has actually been featured nationally on designer Kleenex boxes (yes, that's a thing), and I picked up a few of her animal prints for Henry's nursery. Fun fact, her little boy is also named Henry.
TeamArt -- Who doesn't want a Jon Hamm coloring book? WHO?!?!
Legacy Studio -- This shop has some cute shelves/mail organizers/signs for the house. The fact that I'm even into that sort of thing at all makes me feel old as hell.
ModernMadeBaby -- If I were rich (duh, I'm not) and/or had a need for designer burp cloths (I definitely don't), I would buy all of my baby linens from this store. Super adorable.
Armadillo Dreams -- This shop makes some pretty cute wooden toys for LO. They even feature a wooden Game Boy teether. I like the idea of wooden toys, and Henry loves eating wooden things, so...hooray!
Oh god. Don't even get me started. Is there anything in particular your are looking for?
K and I are both currently sporting shirts from GNOME Enterprises.
Not necessarily. I just like looking at Etsy shops that are actually interesting. I'll bookmark stuff for things I might buy as gifts for people down the road. Like, I'm thinking of buying this cutting board for my friends as a wedding gift.
On a somewhat-related note, I am awfully sad that Regretsy.com stopped updating.
I am having a hard time finding Ugly baby (maybe I will just go check them out in person!) and Legacy Studio on mobile. Too much other crap comes up.
I found Ugly Baby's Etsy shop because I was actually in their physical store once and was cracking the hell up from their shower art. My SIL volunteers with the Sea Shepherds, whose office is across the street. So while she finished up some stuff over there, I wandered into their store. Their stuff is interesting to say the least.
And yes, last time I checked Regretsy, the blog owner said she wouldn't be updating anymore! I was pretty sad. I checked it irregularly, but I always laughed until I was in tears when I'd check up on it. Regretsy is the reason I know I can buy a dozen sparrow's feet on Etsy. Or a beaver fetus.
