QOTW - Is there a children's book you can not wait to read your baby? Is it a favorite from childhood or something your parents read to you as a child?

Well baby girl is getting bigger and bigger by the day ... lol she is already estimated to be close to 9 pounds - wow. She is behaving in the sense that she is moving around for me much more (since she has always been very quiet and it drove me crazy). In a lot of pain from her squeezing everything but I wouldn't trade it for the world but maybe she can keep her big feet out of my ribs?

QOTW - I always love batman books and can't wait to read batman to my little one. I remember telling my mother I liked batman and people told her I was a girl and batman was not good for girls but she didn't care and let me get my Batman books and read them to me.

Love that your book is batman!!

Hi guys! Just trucking along here. Little guy is growing just like he should be. He's currently doing jumping jacks in my tummy and making me feel a little seasick. Ha! I'm feeling great aside from carpel tunnel and swelling. Have another appointment next week and another ultrasound the week after to make sure my CL hasn't decreased.

QOTW- Mines probably brown bear brown bear because its the first book I remember reading by myself. DH says The Lorax.

Can't believe August is here! I don't know if I'm more excited or more nervous. I'm still in shock that I'm going to be responsible for a tiny human. Glad to hear everyone is doing good!

Update: Levi is doing good. I had an appt today and am 50% effaced and 0.5cm dilated. I was planning to refuse cervical checks, but I like knowing what my body's doing so I went ahead with today's. I always felt my body let me down when it came to conceiving so it's refreshing that it appears to have its butt in gear and doing what it should be.

QOTW: I can't wait to read "Monster at the End of this Book." I loved Grover and that dang book. You turned another page!!!!!

Hello all!

Update: had a little scare today with decreased movements accompanied by stomach pain and vomiting. Called the dr and they recommended Zantac for the stomachache and had me come in for a NST/ultrasound. Baby tested great, no contractions. She's flipped from breech to head down so that may be why I don't feel her as much. Still having intermittent stomach pain and have vomited twice tonight again. Ill probably call in the morning, just to let them know, but until then I'm praying for it to subside so I can get some sleep! Not sleeping very well as is, so it'd be nice to get a good nights sleep tonight. Otherwise, still swelling like crazy and carpal tunnel. Found daycare this week so that's been a big relief too!

QOTW: I love so many books it's hard to pick just one! Patiently trying to build my library!!

LOL! I am the BOTTOM of the list!!! Feeling good! Nursery progress is FINALLY feeling like its happening. Got DS set up in a twin bed and tonight while I was out for a much needed ladies night DS decided to move his crib to the nursery and so DH helped him (LOL or I should say DS "helped"). Great QOTW! I love reading and there are so many that I love, but one favorite has been Harold and the purple crayon. Another great book that is not from our generation is called Press Here. If anyone is buying books this is a GREAT toddler interactive book. We read it in an art class and checked it out of the literary and now I am going to have to buy it!! DS LOVES it and request it and it will get him out of a funk if I promise to read it with him!

Hello lovely ladies.... so happy to be checking in here! Thanks for the warm welcome Rachel, & how is it possible you are due in 2 weeks! Crazy..... I'm doing well. lil one is going to be a gymnast I think... she was tumbling and doing all kinds of flips! have an u/s on Aug 8th to see if my low lying placenta issue has resolved. FX it has!

QOTW....hmmm have so many favorites...but I think I would have to go with "where the Wild things are"

My Csection is only 12 days away, I can't believe I'm almost at the end of this pregnancy and everything is still going well. In a way I keep waiting to wake up and its all just been a dream or something. I have my last ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday. QOTW: There are so many books I can't wai to read to or with Charlotte. Some of them would be Goodnight Moon, Where The Wild Things Are, Secret Garden, some of the Disney books, etc.

Hi!! I wasn't here last week, but can you add me to 3rd Tri? Due 10/13 with a little girl

My feet are huge, and since they're so swollen I only have 2 pairs of sandals that I can squeeze them into. Otherwise NOTHING fits my feet. They look pitiful.

QOTW: The book I can't wait to read is The Monster at the End of this Book

I actually lost the one I had, and happened to see it in a grocery store a couple years ago. I totally bought it. My mom already read it with dramatics and I'd be laughing hysterically. I can't wait to share that with my daughter.

I am still here! Baby is two days past the due date with no signs of coming soon! We've got an ultrasound and nonstress test scheduled for next Tuesday, if we make it that far. At that point, they'll set up a time to induce by next Friday. We're hoping that little one decides to come on their own!

I think that I'm most excited to read some of my favorites from childhood...The Velveteen Rabbit, the Berenstein Bears books, and a few others!

Hi ladies!

Update: Not much new going on. C-section is scheduled for Aug. 19th, but I have a final u/s on the 12th, and I'm hoping my PP is totally resolved so we can cancel the c-section. FX! Otherwise, baby girl is doing great. I'm getting BH contractions every 5-15 minutes, which is just really annoying since they put even MORE pressure on my bladder. Glad to finally be in the home stretch! Only two weeks until I'm done with work for six months! Woo hoo!

QOTW: This won't be until she's a little older, but I'm excited to ready books like the Harry Potter series and the Hobbit.

Hey ladies!!

Thanks Rachel for the warm welcome and GL to all you August mommies in the home stretch! I'm trucking along here and feeling good. Hunter is moving all the time and I absolutely love it. My mom got to feel him for the first time yesterday and was super excited.

My next MW appointment is next week, so nothing too exciting going on this week, except we are getting our hardwood floors refinished at our house so we're staying at my parents all week.

QOTW: Most definitely Goodnight Moon because that was my favorite book growing up. There is even video of me when I'm about 2.5 "reading" Goodnight Moon to my little sister who is like 2 months old. It's hysterical and I just remember loving that book so much. My favorite thing to do was find the mouse on every page.

Rachel I can't believe you are so close, so excited for you!

Baby girl is doing well I just had to have a bpp and nst because moving was too much for her and I laid down on the u/s table and boom she starts moving. I have a nasty fungal infection on my stomach that won't go away but besides that all is well.

Looks like baby boy will be here by next weekend. I am 37w today, about 2 cm dilated, and 40-50% effaced. OB sent me to L&D for another NST, because he said I HAD to be having contractions to get this far (I still couldn't tell him if I thought I was having them or not...assumed they were BH if I was having them).

So, I am having contractions, which are in a pattern, but they are only about 30 seconds. They called my OB, and he said it sounds like they are non-productive contractions at this point, and since I'm only 37w today, he wants to try and get one more week, but that if I continue to dilate between now and my 38w appt. next Friday, we'll take him out then.

So, short of everything stopping with my dilation, it looks like I can start my countdown to baby: 7 days (or less!) to go!

I can't believe I have single digit weeks left! 8 more to go now-crazy. I have a baby shower tomorrow and am so excited for it. Baby is doing great, got to take a peek today at my ob appt. Qotw: I always loved "goodnight moon" and when baby is older, " Harry potter".

I cannot believe it is August already! I am so excited and nervous!

Today was my last day of work so I am officially on maternity leave! I had a growth scan at my appointment on Wednesday and baby boy was weighing in at close to 7 pounds. Everything is pretty much ready, I just don't know if I am- Lol!

QOTW: I would have to say Goodnight Moon also. It's always been one of my favorites. One of my friends also got me a Goodnight New Jersey book which I'm excited to read too (they apparently make one for all the states).

I am so excited that we are getting so close!! I had a growth scan today bc of my placenta issues. Baby Charlotte is doing great. Measuring in the 61%tile. Not too much longer...

We are all in the home stretch!

Update: Officially on maternity leave since Thursday. It is weird I did not think I would miss it but I am sure that will change once our little lady is here. I am being induced Tuesday am due to GD and risk of PE. On Thursday I was 1 cm and 70% effaced so I am hoping she comes on her own in the next few days but either was super excited to meet her and officially have a little side kick.

QOTW: I loved all the golden books, the pokey little puppy and of course Cinderella.
