DS is almost 7 months old, and we are taking him on his first plane trip from NC to Seattle. We can take his car seat and stroller for free, but since checking baggage is so expensive, we don't want to bring the PnP, especially since it's so bulky. Does anyone have any ideas for sleeping? I'm assuming we're only going to have one bed where we're staying (it's a wedding, so we won't know much about accommodations until we get there). Travel sleepers are super expensive for something we'll probably only use once before he outgrows it. Does anyone have any DIY ideas for sleeping? While Rowan isn't much of a roller, he's a squirmer. He's pivoted himself in his crib to where his head was at the other end than when he started, so he definitely needs boundaries, so that excludes a simple palette on the floor.
We had a friend actually suggest a cardboard box with the top cut off. It sounds horrible but I'm beginning to think that's our only option. He could sleep with us, except DH is a roller. Anyone used the box idea before? Or any other ideas? TIA!

We've just laid a few blankets down on the floor before. Even a squirmy baby would be fine.
Who is renting the house? I'd ask about whether the house has a PNP, many do. Or the agency might have a source. When traveling with babies I don't go anywhere without knowing every single detail. I have no issues calling and asking every question I have.
