Wasn't there a birthday parties board at one point? I can't find it. Anyhow, I came over from my BMB to ask parents who've already celebrated a birthday.
I'm doing a Mickey Mouse theme and ordering DS a white tshirt that has a 1 and Mickey ears from etsy. When it's time to let him dig into his cake.... Do I keep the shirt on then change him? Should I change him prior to cake? I don't mind if the shirt gets trashed, but then I would need to change him. How did you handle it? k

Thanks for not making me feel like I am crazy for over thinking this! I'm thinking if I do his cake last, it's no big deal to trash the shirt and change him.

I did. They made such messes with their cakes that a bath was totally necessary. There was no good way to wipe them down. With DD1 I left her dress on for cake. Huge mistake. There was frosting everywhere. So, for DD2 I took it off and let her eat/play with cake in just a diaper.
Same here
LO didn't really get that dirty but we stripped him down just in case.
Then wiped him down and put shirt back on him.
