Don't you hate pants?!

I know we've had this discussion many times but I don't care. I can't stand these stupid-effing-constrictive-soul-crushing-life-ruining abominations. I took a half day at work and when I got home, these bitches were off my ass in 0.2 seconds flat, they were practically off before I stepped out of the car. If I didn't have to go out to dinner tonight, I would be spending all weekend in my big ol' poofy granny panties. Damn you responsibilities making me be an adult and wear clothing like a sucker!!!

Re: Don't you hate pants?!

  • It's got to be men designing or making prego pants!  I am with you!  They cut at the bottom....They squish your like a girdle if you wear them high.  Not to mention if your legs swell any, it just looks like sausage in a casing!  All prego pants need to be made more like yoga pants.  They need to be able to move and breathe with a body.  Hey, maybe I'm on to something here. :)  Most weekends I just walk around in a shirt and cotton grannies as well.  Not a pretty picture, but way more comfortable!

  • I hate pants! We have family coming over this weekend, and I'm only dreading it because I have to wear pants in my own house! I want to be uncivilized! Lol, exclamation marks!
  • we have a pants free policy in my house

from someone who used to design at an extremely popular maternity wear company (that would be me)... industry tends to do fittings on a 6 month belly sized prosthetic.... hence why things don't fit during months 8 and 9.

  • Yes! It was a little cooler for a few days and I was too cold to wear my skirts so I pulled out my maternity jeans (which I loved in the second trimester). I couldn't wait to take those damn things off!

  • It was actually cold here the other day, so I traded my dresses and skirts for my maternity jeans I haven't worn since late May.  As soon as I got in the car I regretted it.

  • I hate pants & underwear!! Lol. I need to go buy some extra large granny pannies I guess.
  • I hate to wear pants too! The moment I can take them off when I get home I do!  DH hates wearing shirts. We laugh that our baby is going to think its okay to be naked all the time! :)

  • Bras and pants are the bain of my existence right now. And my MIL is super prude so it kind of makes me want her to "pop in" just so I can be all...look at me with no pants! Ha!

This. I'm constantly adjusting at work and getting funny looks. Sorry, men. Just deal with it.

  • I have declared a "Pants free 'till delivery" policy. If you separate the syllables in "delivery" it makes a nice rhyme to throw at people in an office that give you the judge-y, "You're wearing THAT dress again?" look.
  • I hate any bottoms with any kind of structure right now. I'm living in dresses, and cotton fold over skirts and gauchos right now. And none of them are maternity because I'm convinced that all maternity clothes are made by the devil himself. I just got a new skirt at the dreaded Walmart today.. Cotton fold over, 5.88! I'm about to go get different colors, lol.

  • No pants here, either. Unless you count yoga pants, which are all I wear around the house these days. Dresses at work, yoga pants at home.

I can't WAIT until I can wear normal clothes again. I know my leave will be filled with pj's but I'm hoping I can come back to work after leave feeling at least somewhat cute!

I've made it this far in the same bras, not that they fit well at this point and I refuse to buy new ones until I can buy nursing bras.  But oh my word they are uncomfortable!
  • I may need to get a new size post partum, but I had 3 (cheap) nursing bras delivered yesterday and I'm wearing one today and I am more comfortable in the chest department than I've been in MONTHS. It's freeing.

  • It's always no pants o'clock at my house. I really do hate them.

Yeah, this too. I think I just hate clothes, bleh, they all suck!
  • I was working PT at a coffee shop for insurance and the uniform requires jeans. UGH! I had to wear stupid maternity jeans everyday! I hate those things. DHs new insurance finally started on the first so my last day at work was yesterday!. I wore yoga pants and a maternity shirt to the bank today! It was awesome! I am looking forward to the next 8 weeks jean free! woohoo!

    Pretty much!

Also, as soon as I logged in this evening and saw this thread and then saw I had a notification, I KNEW someone had tagged me here. VIVA LA NO PANTS!

  • I loath clothes entirely at this point...wearing the same clothes all of the time really bugs me. I can't wait to wearing my cute shirts and jeans again!

  • Target has some awesome stretchy boy short underwear that I wish we're acceptable to wear in public. It's really the only thing besides a dress I can hardly stand over/near my belly anymore!
  • I hate putting pants and underwear ON. My goodness reaching down and lifting my legs up. I do this weird little dance  every morning just to put it all on!

  • My growing hatred of pants is making me a bit antisocial. I hate having to leave the house because that requires pants. We had a houseguest for a few days this week, and while I do adore our friend I have to admit it was nice not having to wear pants after he left!
  • Ugh... So glad im not alone on this. The last i tried was around week 26 with maternity jeans and i ripped those things off so fast i probably busted the seams. Ive been cycling through 3 dresses and i don't care how monotonous it looks!

  • We had a few weeks of really hot weather and while everyone else was complaining I was loving it because I could just wear summer dresses all the time. This week we're visiting my parents in northern Ontario and it feels like fall. I have one pair of maternity jeans and one pair of long yoga pants. The jeans barely fit me and the yoga pants are getting a bit snug. I'm either going to freeze all week in my dresses or be super uncomfortable.

Here, too. I can get one leg in, and then I have to hold on to something to get the other leg in.
