3 HOURS!?!

That is how long DS was awake for in the middle of the night.  Gah!  I thought the middle of the night parties were long gone!!!  He was happy as a clam as long as one of us was sitting in the rocker next to his crib or letting him climb all over our bed (brought him in with us in the hopes that he would settle down and go to sleep.. not so much).  If we tried to get him to lay down to go back to sleep or tried to leave his room, all h*ll broke loose.

Anyone else's LO still throwing the occasional midnight play party?

Re: 3 HOURS!?!

  • Oh no! I dont like those nights :( hopefully it was just a random thing he did.

Two nights ago LO woke up at around 11pm (right when we were going to bed) but since we have a monitor, we were keeping an eye on him that way. He wasnt crying, he was just awake playing with the blanket. So, I didnt bother in going into his room. After an hour...he fell asleep again.

  • ahhh...I have been getting 3-4 AM parties. Literally he will be sitting up clapping and singing. >:P

Im in the same boat...wondering what is going on...this started Saturday and is continuing.

  • This was happening with my DD exactly on & off for two weeks. We co-sleep already so it wasn't a matter of her wanting to come to bed. She would wake up around 3:30 and not go back to sleep until 5:30-6:00. She's already down to one nap a day around 12-1:00. I found that if I let her nap more than 2hrs she will wake up but when she's done after two hours she STTN.

  • So strange!  We used to cosleep but moved him to his crib a couple of months ago because none of us were getting a good night's sleep anymore.  So I figured if we brought him into our bed, maybe he'd settle down and go to sleep.  No dice!  Eventually he did fall asleep, but it took a while!

Now, we're dealing with a cold and lots of congestion, so his sleep has continued to be messed up, but at least with this when he gets a hug and a little bit of comforting, he's able to fall right back to sleep.  We had sleep issues pretty much from the beginning and we'd finally gotten into a good sleep pattern.. only to have it thrown off!  Oh well.. that's what naptime is for, right? :)
