I feel so majorly guilty, but these last weeks of pregnancy, I've been relying on tv to occupy my 3 yr old, especially at the end of the day. Mommy has no patience or energy anymore.
No, you are not alone! I am 34w and was doing pretty well up until 32w with the TV thing. Now, I have given in a lot more. It's not going to last forever, but for now and the early stages after pregnancy, I think it's time to do what you gotta do!
Oh heck no you are not alone. I also have completely given up on the food front. I just give her what I know she will eat that is relatively healthy and easy to make. I'm giving myself a break and you should too.

I was super anti- tv. My 14 month old watches Baby Einstein "Neptune's Ocean" every day. Momma needs a quiet bath and that's the only way I've been getting one. It's ok- and it isn't forever
Same here. Lots of tv and easy to prepare foods. Lots of fruit, yogurt and sandwiches. Only cook dinner one or twice a week these days. I feel guilty too since it's summertime. My boys want to be in the park and running around. I just can't keep up with my (soon to be) 18 month old. It's hard to chase after him and constantly be picking him up. We stay mostly indoors. Next summer I will have to make it up to them.
I feel the same way as you. I've never been one to worry about how much tv I let my son watch because I know we keep it in balance with his other activities, but when he's up at 6:45 am and I've had about 4 hours of sleep - I'm definitely using the TV to entertain him more than usual. I'm trying not to feel bad bc honestly, it won't last forever and when in life will we ever be this uncomfortable and tired and deserving of a little slack? Enjoy. :-)
TV, coloring, and crafts.... till they string it all through the house. *sighs* Every 2-3 days the park for a few hours. When daddy is home they go outside. We have a pool and I am so sleepy that I am to afraid to take them out alone. I may not fall asleep, but with a pool, being a little off is bad.
Don't feel guilty. You are doing what you need to do to get through the pregnancy. I have a three year old and a one year old and a DH that travels a lot. I felt the same way a couple of weeks ago but then thought about the bigger picture. It is only a couple of weeks of their lives and it is not like you are doing it because you are lazy, it is because you are exhausted and sore from growing another human.
Yes, I just took DS for his 4 yr checkup today and the doctor was going over how it's important to limit T.V. Time and promote more physical activity..... I do feel guilty with my son during this time of pregnancy I was running around make sure everything was spotless. I can't seem to get motivated to do that with this pregnancy I'm exhausted!!
Re: Poor DS, this last trimester, the tv has been my friend/babysitter. Am I the only one?
