NPALR: Someone explain Toms shoes to me

So...what am I missing?  I see people wearing these shoes and they (a) sometimes look as if your foot is bandaged (lighter colored ones) due to the fabric-y nature of them, and (b) most often seem to have the big toe area worn or worn through, which is not the greatest look.

Are they super comfy or something?  Just a trendy thing? Because otherwise I just don't get it.

  • They're super trendy. I got a pair and love them, but i don't get the chance to wear them much, so theyre not worn at all. I see people wearing them in ways I never would (like with shorts or skirts). For every pair purchased, the company donates a pair to people in need.

  • They look nice but they are too flat for me. I have no arches and lower back/ hip issues so I need a bit of height in the heel.

I was told they were super comfy. I was having foot pain and looking for a comfy but cute pair. Big mistake. They are thin soled and have like no support. I got the black glitter ones and I do think they are cute.

I absolutely love chubby toddler feet wearing them with no socks though! I haven't bought any for DD though.

  • They are SUPER comfortable.  Like slippers.  Also the charitable aspect is nice I think.  Makes up for how overpriced they are.
