Which is why you need to take initiative and read a book as Jordy said, google things on your own etc. You can't come here and ask a parenting question every time your baby doesn't poop for 3 days or falls and scrapes their knee. You spent time asking TWO really simple questions, that you could have just googled. We aren't your personal google machine.
We are telling you honestly what to do. I don't care if its your first or third pregnancy, you should be able to google or call your doctor. Flagging us because you asked a dumb question and didnt like our simple responses, is not going to make you very popular.
You will have an anatomy scan between 16-20 weeks at your OB's office to check for development. This scan is not to check the sex of the baby, but to check the major functions of the baby's body. If the ultrasound tech happens to be able to tell the sex, you will find out then. But, if the baby is uncooperative, you will have to wait unless you have an elective ultrasound. An elective ultrasound is one that you pay out of pocket for and not done at your OB office. These are just to find out the sex of your baby and this does not mean you can skip your anatomy scan. The anatomy scan is extremely important. You usually can schedule an elective ultrasound anytime after 15 weeks to find out the sex. Just Google "elective ultrasounds" and your zip code to find out where the closest facility is.

I'm a FTM too but I've been on this board since June, have read books, talked to my doctor, googled things, talked to my friends and family who have kids... there are so many options besides asking ridiculous questions here and then getting angry when you get real answers.
