When it rains it pours!!

Okay, really I have it pretty good and I'm grateful for everything in my life but SERIOUSLY... 1) I start my new job on Monday (great) 2) but I woke up with excruciating foot pain. Just went to the instacare and I have a broken bone in my foot. Out of nowhere. Wtf!! 3) DS got bit at daycare again today, by the same kid that has bit him 7 times. The director is completely downplaying it and acting like "kids will be kids". I'd be Flipping livid but my foot hurts too much to think. 4) DH has to travel part of next week. How will I get DS to daycare and pick him up while making a good impression at my new job with a broken foot (and lovely old lady foot boot that I now have). Okay, vent over. Foots will heal, but I'm hurt that my baby is getting bitten at daycare and no one seems to give a sh*t:(

    After 7 times, I would think they would expel him from the daycare.  Sorry to hear about the foot.

    Our DC has a 3 bites and you're out rule. I'm sorry about your foot. That sucks!!

    How old is your LO and how old is the kid biting him?? The 3 and out rule usually pertains to much older kids.

    One of the (many) reasons I pulled DS1 from his old DC is he was being bit at least twice a week and the director kept chalking it up to kids will be kids. I pushed for the child to be shadowed, were a teacher constantly follows the repeat biter and they blew me off. I went to the owner and he finally made it clear that someone was going to be in trouble if my kid was bit again. So the crapy teachers started watching the biter better. The biting got better, but the school was going down hill quickly and I pulled him anyway.

    I would push for better supervision. DS1 did get bit at his new school on occasion, which sucks but once in a while is tolerable bc kids will be kids, but IMHO, it shouldn't be happening 7 times! And it shouldn't be happening every week!

    Tough times! Hoping things look up for you soon.

    So weird abt the broken bone and not knowing how it happened-usual wear and tear.
