Where is baby sleeping at night?

Just curious what others have ended up doing in terms of night time sleeping. We have a cosleeper set-up, but baby cries as soon as we place her in it. She's been sleeping in our bed/arms so far for the week we've been home, but I'd really like to get her into her own space. Thinking of buying a RnP since it seems she prefers an incline.

  • RnP, or in our arms.

  • RnP or PnP infant sleeper. Whichever she prefers that noght
  • Nadia starts off the night in her rnp. Her first stretch is normally about 3-4 hours, then I can't see to get her back in her rnp the rest of the night. So she's in my arms or on my chest. It stresses me out though, I really hope she'll let me lay her down soon. I am currently sleeping on a chaise in our living room since it allows me to be comfortable while sitting up.

  • Sounds like the RnP might be worth buying!

  • In my arms or in his PNP next to our bed! He seems to sleep well in his PNP which makes me happy!
  • In her crib since the first night home.
This!  DS has been sleeping in his crib.  He hated his crib at first but is now used to it.

  • We have her in her play yard between the foot of our bed and our bureaus.  We were able to put her in her crib in her room I think the day we brought her home (when she was 2days old), but most of the time it's been too hot in there for her, even w/the fan we have in there for her (there's no a.c. unit in there, just in our room and the family room).  We weren't able to have her anywhere but our bed/arms either for about two weeks for the same reason.  At about two weeks we started transitioning her to the play yard.  We'd put her in, and then one of us would stay up watching her until she woke to feed, then she'd sleep w/us the rest of the night.  Then the next night, we'd do that, but put her back in her play yard after the first feeding, and so on until she spent her whole non-feeding, burping, and changing time in there on the third night.
  • She hates the bassinet and either sleeps in my arms or next to me in my bed. I plan to try the crib soon.

  • Usually I'm holding him. He'll go a sleep session in the swing but doesn't love it for the whole night. I'm wanting to switch him to the cosleeper soon though.

  • I am using the rnp and it is amazing. I had so much trouble getting my oldest to sleep and I can't believe I never knew about it. You should definitely buy it. I'm actually getting sleep with the new baby because of it.
  • PNP - she sleeps great in it!
  • I feel like I've answered this question a hundred times.

She sleeps in her RnP right next to the bed.

  • My little one goes into the bassinet / napper in the pack n play when I first lay her down. Then when she gets up for her first feeding in the night ill lay her back in it. Second time she gets up I let her sleep with me till we get up in the morning. My little one is so wiggly she won't sleep on my chest. I usually lay her beside me.
  • Her crib. She kept us up too much at night with her grunting when she slept in the PNP in our room so we made the switch late June.

  • We start off in the bassinet where he sleeps for 2-3 hrs and sometimes after his feeding he will go back in it, other times he sleeps in his bouncer,

  • The RNP at least the first half of the night. If she's fussy she sleeps the second half in our bed.

  • In the snuggle nest between DH and I. We tried the bassinet but he hates being flat on his back. Occasionally he needs to be in my arms but at this stage I can usually put him down after he passes out for 20mins in my arms. Sometimes I just hold on to him anyway because I like the snuggle time. :)
  • Pack and Play in our room. Our pediatrician told us studies show it is best for the baby to sleep in the same room as the parents for the first four to six months (SIDS reduction), and there is no way we can get the crib in our room without entirely taking it apart and reassembling it.
  • PNP near our bed normally. There have been a few off nights where she slept in my arms.

  • In the Arms Reach Cosleeper butted up against our bed. She'll stay there until she's about 3 months. I want to follow AAP guidelines and also wait until she's sleeping longer stretches. It's so much more convenient to roll over and grab her for feedings and to lay her back down than it is to get up and walk to her room.

  • Our LO sleeps in the bassinet/cuddler attachment on her pack n play in our room. She seems to prefer an incline too.
  • LO starts off in the bassinet most of the day and ends up in the bed with us by early morning.
  • In my arms right now. I sleep better when I can feel him breathing. :)
  • In her crib, in her room.
