I must get DD into her crib. She is starting to roll a lot now (still just to her side) and she looks huge in her bassinet.
What age was LO when they started sleeping in their crib? How did you introduce them to it? Did you start with them sleeping in it partially through the night, or did you just go for it? How long did it take LO to adjust?
DD sleeps in her bassinet at my bedside and has done so since 12 wks when she moved out of her RnP. She's never slept in our bed and I don't nurse her in bed; we always wake up and sit in our recliner. I have no intention to sleep train, I just want her to have more space!

Re: Talk to me about crib sleeping
I think most babies take the transition much easier than us mommas do.

G was in the arm's reach co-sleeper at the start. We started with the crib for naps and then I tried "cold turkey" nights in the crib starting between 13 and 14 weeks in anticipation on going back to work. Like you, when he needed to eat at night or fussed, I tended to get up and go into his room anyway since that's where the glider was, and that way DH could get some sleep since he was working -- so getting up to get him when he woke at night was not really a big deal.
I will say that we have a video monitor, and that things was a godsend during the transition, since I could see him so clearly and know he was safe and when he was awake and quiet. We still love that thing and plan to add a second camera for this LO when he or she moves to their own room, too.

Motherhood is not for wimps
Then, by six months, he had been in his crib for two months, just fine - so we moved the crib into his bedroom (after I took a few weeks to finally bite the bullet and try - since darnit it's always harder on the Mama's isn't it?), and I guess because he'd already been using it for a while, it was no big deal for him. He's nine months in a few days, and is still in the crib in his room ~
