Cervix Half & Half?

I just started checking my cervix this month and so far have found it pretty interesting! I haven't been very successful with CM so I'm hoping this works better for me. Today I noticed that it felt like two different "firmnesses" - half what I've been calling "medium" and the other half noticeably softer. Anyone else ever notice anything like this?

Do you mean that half of your cervix was firm and the other half was soft? Cause......yeah, I got nothing on that.If you mean it changes throughout the day, that is very normal and they recommend you check it at the same time every day to get a more consistent reading.Personally, I only note my cervix on my chart if the texture/position is extremely obvious. If it is at all ambiguous, I leave it blank.I have no idea how to check if it is open or not though. Seems like witchcraft to me.

At OP maybe you are feeling vaginal wall and your cervix is tucked up so you can't feel it all? -

It all makes a lot more sense if you think of the cervix like the tip of a penis (stay with me! lol). A soft cervix will feel like a flaccid penis; a firm cervix will feel like an erect penis. The os (opening) at the tip of the cervix is just like the pee hole (technical term) of a penis. If that hole in your cervix is noticeable and feels like a dimple or a divot, call it open.
