I know a lot of you chart temps and cm, but does anyone chart the position of her cervix's position? Is this as reliable of an indicator as temp & cm?
So, the cervix adjusts when you've had sex to make room for the penis. DH and I are pretty horny folk and have sex 2-4 times a week, without fail. How do I know if my cervix feels soft because I'm fertile or if it's because we got busy the night before? How long should I wait to check cm so I can accurately decide if it's ewcm or left over semen?
Re: Checking the cervix?
I think you're a little confused about the bolded part. Your CP adjusts during your cycle based on your fertility. When your cervix is low, firm and closed it means that you are not near your O. As you approach your O date your cervix will become higher, softer, and open up. It opens to receive the sperm during your O window, not because you have sex. After you O your cervix will close back up, and become lower and firmer again.
I chart my CP and I find it to be pretty reliable. I would recommend checking your CM before your BD instead of after. I check mine internally while I'm checking my CP.
I can see your CP height changing because of sex, but I'd be surprised if your cervix would open because of it. Ill do some research. Maybe I learned something new today.
Mine will definitely change position during the day, but I've never seen ( or...errr ...felt) mine open for any reason other than O.
Really the best way to get familiar is to do it. You'll know it when you feel it I promise. I got all kinds of pumped when I felt my first high soft and open. I called my sister and everything. It was awesome.
That's what I thought but its not for everyone
