First off thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. This afternoon has been awful.
My son and daughter told me they were going for a walk at around 1:30 and that's pretty normal. By 3 I realized they had been gone a while and it was really hot out so I started to look for them and couldn't find them anywhere. We live in the middle of 20,000 acres of woods so I just went to there normal spots and couldn't find them. We got our friends that are cops out to help and still couldn't so we called the cops to make a missing persons report. Those cops couldn't find them either. We went to their friends house which is about 2 miles from here and they told us they hadn't seen them and they weren't there. So we really started freaking out by that point.
It was starting to rain and get darker out so the cops were about to call search dogs and helicopters out to find them and they walked up. 5 and a half hours they were gone. They just told me they were going for a walk and I could think of was they got hurt, kidnapped, lost, bit by a snake I had no idea what could have happened to them. Come to find out they were at that house where we looked for them and they lied to us. The dad lied to us, to the cops! My kids weren't supposed to be at that house because those people are just trashy and let their kids do whatever they want. So when we came looking for them my kids got scared because they knew they would be in trouble and they lied for them.
The cops were still searching when they came back so they gave them a real good talking to and then I got ahold of them and then everyone that was looking for them gave them a piece of their minds. I called the mom of the kids where they were and she lied to us and said she was at work and didn't know. I asked my daughter and she said she was there the whole time. So my husband went up there to wreck shop on these pieces of shit people. I mean we told her we filed a missing persons report on them and everything and they still said they weren't there. Who the fuck does that? All I could think was someone kidnapped my kids and I was never going to see them again. It was awful but they are home now and grounded indefinetely. No tv, no facebook, no cell phone..no outside! Nothing.

Im just glad it's over, im seriously considering calling DSS on them now because they have 5 kids in a one bedroom TRAILER! Yeah those kind of people.
Secondly who the eff lies to the cops and parents who are looking for their assumed missing kids! Ugh they make me sick to my stomach!
You should absolutely call dss on their asses! They deserve it, who the Hell lies about not having seen a missing kid?!?
Oh Cajun, how did you keep from killing those people???? How could people who have kids of their own do that to another parent??
I'm glad everything came out OK, and I hope the kids apologized profusely.
Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.
What happens with them at this point I'm not sure since the kids are ok. My husband said he really didn't say much other than he didn't realize they were there. Which is total Bullshit. I think if there hadnt been a police presence my husband probably would have gotten arrested for battery.
I hate these people and I'm glad I never have to cross paths with them. I still wouldn't wish the feelings and terror I felt today on anyone. It's hard to shake.

I'm glad it was something simple, but WTF? I applaud you for not beating the living crap out of those "parents". That had to take an amazing amount if restraint.
Glad to hear it ended well and your kids are safe. What an ordeal! Those neighbors are total assholes.
