Skidderdo and then I sort of started this check-in thread last week (week before?) about weight and health and fitness and then we had babyrashgate2013 over here and I fell off the wagon.

So I thought I'd start this check-in today for us to post about our accomplishments in getting back in shape, or talk about goals.

Thursday is my weigh in day for Weight Watchers, and I'm happy to report a 1.5 lb loss this week, which means I've lost 20 lbs since I joined -- for a total of 70 since birth, putting me about 20 lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight.  I've been doing a good job at eating healthy breakfasts and planning good, healthy dinners.

I didn't do a great job with exercise this week so my goal is to incorporate morning workouts once LO is FULLY through his little sickness.

I also need to start packing a lunch but baby steps.

Today -- need to drink lots and lots of water!

How about you guys?

ETA - and apparently I cannot do math.  That's 20 lbs since rejoining WW and 50 since giving birth.  Jeez.

I went to the beach for a week with my in-laws and didn't gain any weight! That in itself is an accomplishment. I gained 30 lbs during pregnancy and am now down 40lbs. My goal is to lose about 15 more lbs. I was trying to do the 30 day shred but ughhh.... It sucks! I totally fell off the wagon with that, but I do walk with DS in the stroller. Mainly I just eat healthfully, but I can't cut back my calories too much since I am EBF, so it's slowww.

I actually think that's a HUGE accomplishment -- whenever my routine gets off, plus "vacation mentality," it is usually a free for all for eating for me.  Good job!

  • I'm still 10 lbs over pre-pregnancy weight, but I've lost 11 lbs in the last month since joining Weight Watchers. Which is awesome since I had completely plateaued at 2 weeks postpartum.

I'm still not working out like I should, but its hard to find the time. I'm hoping to start c25k soon.

  • I've lost an additional 3lbs since going back to work, mainly because I always forget to eat. I haven't been working out as much as I would like (who am I kidding - AT ALL!) so I'm glad the weight is still coming off.

This puts me at a total weight loss of 27lbs since giving birth. I have 7 lbs left to lose to get back to pre-pregnancy weight and about 10-12 lbs to get back to my ideal weight.

  • I have been logging my meals on my fitness pal for more than 20 days. I made it to yoga again this week and I can see my toes! I really just need to tone up at this point. Stumble: for dinner last night I had a bowl of ice cream then 2 glasses of wine. O well.

  • I am back to my pre pregnancy weight but my muscle tone is gone. I am like jello- I jiggle. I haven't really done too much this past week but work out in the yard which has made me sore so I am counting it as exercise.

  • Recovery has been slow going for me after an emergency C-section and pretty severe diastasis recti which lead to a significant back injury (And PT). So while I dumped quite a bit right away (about 30 of the 37lbs I had gained in PG), I was a little overweight to begin with before I got pregnant.

Exercise has been touch and go b/c just as I was healing and doing a little cardio at the gym, my back went out on me again. So, I've joined WW and have lost 4 lbs in the last 3 weeks, my next weigh in is tomorrow. My first goal is a loss of 10lbs, I hope to see that in the next few weeks as well as be able to at least start walking or do some form of mild exercise!

  • Holy crap JSS, strong work! DH and I talked last night about getting back into shape. We are going to switch off baby duty in the evenings during the week, ie: after bedtime, he'll stay home and let me go to the gym, and on alternating days I'll stay home and let him go for a run. Also just did another "fruits and veggies" Costco run this morning. We are trying to have fresh produce be the bulk of our diet. Weight wise... ugh, still about 10lbs away from pre-pregnancy weight, and 15-20lbs away from where I'd feel really fit and healthy.

  • I have a lot of weight to lose. I was overweight to begin with when I got pregnant, then I gained more with the pregnancy. Not to mention that I gained about 6 more lbs PP just stress eating. On Tuesday I started a doctor supervised weight loss plan. I go to the center every Monday for weigh-ins and consultations, plus to get a B12 injection and supplements. My mom did it and had a lot of success, so now my dad and I are doing it. I look forward to shedding a lot of this fat!

  • Wow you ladies have done an awesome job!

I gained 50 lbs with LO#2. I lost 22 lbs almost immediately and another 5 once I started exercising at 5 wks pp. But since then I can't seem to move the scale. I work out hard 3-4 times a week (run 4-5miles / body pump / zumba). So I'm good with the exercise part but I'm struggling with the eating part. My diet is generally healthy but I think my issue is portion control. I tried WW but I've been struggling to stick to it. In addition, I have a hypothyroid disease so losing weight is a little harder for me. I'm starting to get frustrated! I'm going to see my endocrineologist tomorrow. Hopefully she can help me somehow.

I gained 70 lbs and lost all but 10lbs with LO#1, over the course of a year. So I know I can do it but it just sucks because it definitely wasn't an easy road for me.

btw, I'm still pumping 4x a day so I don't want to cut out too much and decrease my already low supply.

Thanks lady - I have quite a bit of weight to lose still, even though I have lost the pregnancy weight... I was significantly overweight (unfortunately) before getting pregnant.  So I'd still like to lose about 40 lbs...

I like that idea of having nights "off."  I don't have a gym membership right now, but I do have a treadmill in the basement and lots of weights / bands / BOSU trainer... I am a better morning exerciser, so that is my goal... maybe we can reverse it, each of us get a night off for "whatever," and then we take turns more in the mornings... he's worthless in the mornings but if he could do 2 week days and 1 weekend morning, ti would be awesome.

  • I have been counting calories but didn't lose anything last week. I tend to get really frustrated and give up when I don't see results, so I am trying to not lose my motivation. I have also been trying to up my water intake as I've been really bloated recently (posted yesterday with concerns about my Mirena). My brother is getting married in October and I would love to be down 20 pounds by then.

Ughh I have that problem too if my weight doesn't change for several days, I have been known to "give up" and eat ice cream haha. I am trying to look at this more as a lifestyle change for that reason. It's not a "diet" that I'm going to quit... I am just trying to eat lots of fruits and veggies and make healthier choices all the time.

This is me too... :( I gained 30 lbs during pregnancy and lost 20 right away. Now I have gained a couple lbs back and have been stuck at 12 lbs to lose for a while now. I can't figure out a good time to work out either, and there is so much stress lately with stuff happening that I keep reaching for the junk food.

So this week I have to start exercising again! I think I will start with the Wii and see where it goes from there.
