I want to purchase a new toy to entertain LO what are some of your favorites? I want something I can easily take along, he has all kinda of big stuff that's entertaining but not easy to take to the grandparents. Thanks
No toys yet. Most of the toys start around 3 months. We do a tummy mat and he will stare at the toys hanging from his car seat or swing but that's it. Right now it's still eat, sleep, poop, repeat.

I haven't really introduced toys yet. The only thing she "plays" with is the FP Kick-n-Play Piano activity mat. It has some toys dangling on it that she'll hit at or stare at.
I have a toy that hangs from her car seat that she likes to stare at and another toy that just hangs that plays music when you pull on it. I have to do the pulling right now but she likes the music. Also, I have a white music app on my phone that she likes. I made a combo of rain and fan and she looves it!
I like them. The definitely give you the most age appropriate things. Last months box had the theme of "to go". So it had the portable mobile above, a pack of wet wipes for your diaper bag, a small tube of diaper rash cream, and an Aden and Anais burp cloth/bib (it's really good quality, super absorbant. Oh, and a gift code for 10 free magnetic postcards that you can customize with pictures of your LO. The mobile is $15 retail, the burp bib is $22 retail. And since the box cost $25, I'd say I got a deal!

He likes laying on his Infantino playmat and I have one elephant rattle that I got from Target that he will occasionally look at it if I play with it with him, but not too much interest in toys yet.

Same with my guy! He LOVES that thing. I also have another less elaborate play mat with things that hang down. He likes it fine, and it folds up easily to I regularly take it with us to grandmas or other friends' places.
At this age, babies really just like to look at faces. But any toys with strong contrast (especially black, white and red) are great for them. I have a couple of books and a stroller toy in black and white that he will occasionally look at.
