Are there cities in your state that nobody could pronounce if they weren't from that area? I feel like Washington has a ton. For example.. Puyallup, Sequim, Yakima, Kalaloch, Spokane, Issaquah, Pend Orielle, even Seattle if it weren't the only city people knew.

  • People in general have a bit of a hard time saying my home province.
Saskatchewan.  There is a video of Ellen Degeneres trying to say it.  For cities there isn't many.

  • I'm living in the UK and there's a ton of places and things here that are spelled differently from how they sound. Like Thames and Gloucester for starters.

I live in Schenectady (NY). A lot of people say that wrong.

  • Yeah, my hometown in ND was named after a town in Germany. When a person pronounces it, it sounds like there should be one more u in than how it is spelled. Messes people up all the time that don't live there or near there.

  • I think cities in California are pretty easy to pronounce but I could be wrong.

  • There are tons in the Twin Cities that get said wrong.  One of the local radio stations always makes the new djs say them all.
