I stole this from the old check in....

This group is for those of us dealing with male factor issues. We welcome everyone but mostly we are dealing with low count, motility, morphology or all three. Male infertility is a mysterious world filled with questions no one, including REs, urologists, acupuncturists or anyone else seem to have the answers to. Any treatment suggested is a coin toss for success and a 3 month wait for a fresh batch of swimmers. Most of us are told the only answer is IUI or IVF w/ICSI. The purpose of this group is to support each other through shared experiences and to share any info we can because the more informed we are the better. We have a check in every Sunday. Welcome and GL and PPVs to all!

Wow you are on top of things, my ER was yesterday and you already have that updated! We have 5 embryos. We did picsi and I find it interesting because we only did icsi last time. RE said of all the sperm they picked for icsi only 10 percent of that binded to the gel in picsi. Making me wonder how many actual good ones we got last time using icsi. Hoping this makes a world of difference in our embryo quality this time!

I tend to treat myself with take out food and movies. Also shopping.

We have decided to switch RE's within the practice for our FET. I'm so excited to get going. I even put a countdown on my laptop

QOTW: My favorite thing to do is go to Hobby Lobby and look at everything. I go all alone and spend time just browsing. Sometimes I get a craft to do.

Update: Still trying to get my thyroid under control. Saw my family doctor today and he cut my Synthroid in half in the hopes that it will decrease the side effects, and that I don't need so much? Still waiting for an appointment with the endocrinologist. I feel like waiting to try and get the MFI sorted out was excruciating, but at least we felt like we were doing something in the meantime? Waiting to see a specialist, and waiting until I get a new contract (still working on that one too!) are much worse (for me), because I have no control over that. And at least with the MFI, we knew that we'd have an answer one way or another every three months, you know? With this, there's no concrete end date. I'm tired of waiting. It's been 16 months of trying to get physically ready to do our *first* IVF since our MFI diagnosis, and I'm really ready to just get this show on the road! But anyways, that's my rant for the day...

QOTW: Usually with food! Today I celebrated my family doctor taking me seriously by getting some poutine :-bd

What's the count down at now? I'm mobile bumping and can't remember your FET date, we might be doing a freeze with FET in September, should know soon

Getting ready to do our first IVF with ICSI. We have severe MFI with low everything and now I have low AMH. Nervous, but excited to finally being doing IVF after ten years of trying everything else.

Are you cycling in August? We are male factor with me having low amh also. Good luck with your cycle!

Next period should be here mid-august. I should be doing CD3 monitoring, sonohystogram, and birth control. Praying everything comes back normal.

IVF ICSI should be late September.

Hi guys! Finished Lupron and will start Ganirelix tomorrow. Today is also CD 1 with horrible cramps. Baseline u/s went well..yay for no cysts! We are looking at ER around 8/16 or 8/17.

QOTW: I love to get manicures, I usually do it myself...so its nice to get one a couple times a year.
