Where the f*uck are my cupcakes?

Back story-I will be at my company 3 years in Oct, but I 've been in this department 1 year as of July 3rd.

So today my boss brings in gourmet cupcakes, cookies, a potted flower and card for my co-worker who's 1 year anniversary is today. I didn't get any recognition for my 1 year in this department or when I hit 2 years with the company last October and I'm kind of hurt and pissed. I know my boss is not that fond of me b/c I'm very independent and I only go to her if absolutely have to, but sheesh you don't have to rub it in my face!

But, seriously, that sucks. Your boss should not be showing preference for anyone. Unless it is an office-wide policy, your boss shouldn't be buying gifts or goodies for employees as anniversary gifts. Not cool.
