Combining Names

We recently found out that we are expecting a baby boy. My husband is set on using Raymond as the middle name, after his grandfather. I'm not sold on the name, because it's a little too traditional for me. I'm considering a compromise...somehow including my grandfather's name, also. We already have a first name picked out, so I need to figure out a way to combine Raymond and Glenn to make one middle name. Suggestions?

Re: Combining Names

  • I'd either use one as a first name, two middle names or just go with either Raymond or Glenn.  The combined name idea just sounds dreadful -- Glennmond? Raymenn? There is really nothing that works and sounds good.

    Very much this.
  • I don't know how those two could be combined unless you just did it as Glenn Raymond or Raymond Glenn.

I'd probably pick one or the other---like Raymond for this baby, then Glenn/Glenna if you have a second child.
