I'm weird... My drive hasn't increased before O. Or least it hasn't over the past couple of cycles since coming off of BC. I find myself wanting sex between O and AF. But DH doesn't seem to might regardless. He's a whenever kind of guy.

FWIW- I want it most when I am on my period. Not during FW.

I'm all in with you on all of this. I don't think my sex drive goes up at O time, I want it about the same then as usual. And I am horny as hell during my period but hubby won't even think about touching me then. :-<

I can't really tell if mine does or if it's just because I want a baby. I find my sex drive is at it's highest a couple days before my period.

My sex drive goes way up as I get closer to O. It's actually my first sign that O is approaching! I used to attribute it to knowing that I was getting ready to O, but one month I was seriously turned on by our decidedly unattractive (and gay!) neighbor. That's when I knew that the horniness was a hormonal sign I was getting ready to O, not just the result of a +OPK.

ETA: DH's sex drive seems to be unaffected, but he does think I smell better then, even though I think I smell like I could use another swipe of deodorant.

Personally, before we started TTC it seemed like I wanted it the most during my period too. My DH isn't a sex-during-AF kind of guy (which is ok) so it's almost like my body only wants it more because I can't have it.

Since we started TTC I have noticed I want it more during FW and O but I only think it's because my brain knows it's my FW and O and we want a baby.

Mine goes up around O time and during AF. S/O isn't squeamish about sex during AF, so that works!

We're not currently trying, but close to O is when my sex drive goes WAY up! I never noticed this when we were trying the 1st time.

I am the same way, every now and then when AF shows up my sex drive sky rockets, but I don't like having sex during that week so it's a big waste.

I notice an increase but I think it's just wanting a baby so much and getting excited about unprotected sex. When we aren't trying I don't think I get increased sex drive before ovulation.

Agreed...I think mine might be a drive to have a baby. But I do believe there was a study done with pheromones and men, basically how men can "sense" when a women is most fertile and their drive to have sex also increases. I will try to find that actual study so hopefully I am not just making that up. If anything it sounds good...

I have read similar studies, and I have to say that I kind of think that it's true. I mean that's how it works in nature with animals. My drive definitely increases around O. Usually it's about a day before O that I really notice it. My husband always has a pretty high sex drive, so I don't notice as big of a difference in him.

There was also a pretty famous study where men were shown pictures of women, some of which were in their FW, and men tended to find those women more attractive. It turns out we both smell better to men and look hotter when we're ovulating!

I've broken my DH, though, bc he's starting to dread my FW and can't wait for it to be over. He's finding all the BDing to be a lot of work and quite exhausting.

My drive isn't the best, but I have noticed a slight increase in my drive in the days leading up to O (usually a few days before). I like it during AF, too, but H refuses to "Ride the Red River."

My husband watches all those documentaries on the science channel for fun. I happened to see the one on the study with the pictures.

My sex drive goes up around o too. The rest of the month I could care less. I feel like such a horrible wife sometimes. Last year when TTC I didn't chart or do anything just had sex when I felt like it. The month I did get pregnant I had sex once the whole month. I literally had just had surgery was still in so much pain but I had the urge. It was totally not because I was thinking about getting pregnant. It worked I got KU.

I don't have a ridiculously awesome sex drive to begin with, but I do find an increase leading up to O and sometimes during AF, but usually CD3 or CD4 when it's more "Riding the Red Stream" instead of "Riding the Red River"

I know I want it more closer to O. I was the same way with exH and he'd had the big snip so it wasn't a baby thing. I also want it during af, but DH won't have anything to do with that. He thinks af days are just bj days, but I don't fucking think so. ExH was always game, w'e just throw down a towel and shower after. Orgasms are great for cramp relief!
