When do you use gas drops?

For those of you that have used or currently use gas drops, do you wait for a period of discomfort to give the drops or do you give them daily (before bed maybe?). LO has been waking up several times in the middle of the night with gas discomfort and I'm not sure if gas drops are the way to go. Any thoughts or experiences?

  • I only give her something for gas if she is crying, nothing else works and I know it's gas.

  • I have given DD gas drops preventatively when she has been really gassy/fussy earlier in the day. If it were me, I would try giving LO gas drops before bed a few nights to see how it goes. GL.

Gas drops have saved me from some pretty hard nights in the early stages! Now I give them to her when i notice discomfort ( I always have them near where I am feeding just in case) and if she's been particularly gassy during the day, ill give them to her before bed.

This is what I also do. If I know she is fed, changed, burped, not sick, hot or cold, and I can't console her I use the drops.
