Squatter IUD Update

For those of you ladies that were interested!

Had an ultrasound and sure enough my IUD is still being a squatter in my uterus, sans string. My doc says they will have to dilate my cervix to get it out (which she can't do) so I am now waiting on a referral to another doctor. Here in Canada, it could take months for me to even get a consult with a specialist so it looks like baby making is on hold for the time being. Lame!

Glad it's not embedded or up a fallopian tube or something (can they even do that?). So did the strings just curl up into your ute?

Ya, that's what they think. It's also possible that the strings were too short to begin with.

I have a stupid IUD question. This string you refer to ... does it actually hang out of your like a tampon string? How does this work?

The strings are supposed to just hang through the os ( the little opening) of the cervix. You are supposed to just barely feel it if you reeaacchhhhh way up there. Key word - supposed to....
