So after listening to comments from DH about how hard can it be to stay home all day I decided to test him. Last night I woke him up every time the baby was up just so he could see what he slept through most nights. Today I left for 4 hrs to run errands and left her home with him. Needless to say he got a small dose of what I do each day. I think it was a wake up call bc when I go back to work in a few weeks he will be home with her at least two days a week. Welcome to my world! Is it bad that I think this is funny?

A few days ago, someone wanted to stick it to their H because he said she had it easy with her babies. So during a time when he would be home alone with them, she wished them to be teething and the fussiest babies ever. I understand wanting YH to see what it's like but I never understood wanting your LO(s) to be miserable just for that purpose.
Everytime MH complains about Ethan being fussy or how hard it was to feed the wiggler, my response is, Welcome to my world!

To a certain extent. Ethan isn't fussy everyday or every moment. So why would I wish MH to experience something I don't even have to deal with everyday? I understand wanting YH to experience our jobs. But if you truly wanted him to experience what we go through, then you wouldn't want your LO to change his everyday behavior. That just doesn't make any sense. JL was wanting her babies to behave differently for her H. Whether she used words that she shouldn't have doesn't matter. She wished them to be different then what she has to deal with. Leasaj didn't say anything about her LO changing her temperment just so her H can deal with it. That's the difference.

This sounds like me! Although I am not up 5 times DH almost always sleeps through things.... and yet this AM when I said I was exhausted - he had the audacity to say "Welcome to parenthood."
This almost earned him a throat punch, and if I can pull it off it WILL earn him his first MOTN feeding tonight, I think it's time he sees what it's like.
