Red puke

So LO decided to mix things up today by puking a red spit up at his first nap today. He's been on rice cereal for 4 days and had sucked on a piece of watermelon 6 days ago. After the watermelon his spit ups sometimes had watermelon in them for about 48h and he pooped a bit of it too. But then nothing for 4 days and now this big red puke. It was hard to tell if it was blood or watermelon although I am skeptical this far out from eating it. I called my pedi and was told to hold off the rice tomorrow and if it happens again he'll see us Thursday. I was feeling ok about it all day but now that he is in bed for the night and I am back at work full time tomorrow and DH is going away and my mother who hasn't seen LO since he was 2 weeks old will be looking after him I am feeling unsettled about it all. I am also worrying in the back of my mind about weaning this week if there is something wrong with him. I feel like I am being a bit irrational but I am also emotional about it.

    No advice just a hug. Cant be easy going back under the cicumstances. Hang in there. Hope LO doesnt puke anymore and things will go smoothly tomorrow.

    Poor thing! I wouldn't think it's the watermelon anymore either, but I guess you never know. Hopefully it doesn't happen again!

    LO spit up red and brown a few times, but it was always suspected to be the result of me bleeding while nursing. When we weren't sure what it was, the pedi tested his diaper for blood and talked about a referral to a pedi GI specialist. I know how terrifying it can be. Many hugs your way!!

    ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    Thanks Angela. It's been 4 days without it happening again and I let the pedi know as much and he's happy to just watch for now and see him if it happens again.
