Update - WWSIFD?

CD1 = BFN. Since this is my 3rd failed medicated IUI cycle in a row I need to meet with the RE to come up with a new gameplan which will require us to sit this cycle out. Now the decision comes....try IUI with injectibles, or go right to IVF? Our insurance luckily covers all fertility, so cost is not a factor. Any suggestions welcome!

After 3 failed Clomid+TI cycles, DD was conceived with IUI#1

TTC #2

Clomid 50 mg + IUI#1  = BFP, m/c and D&C at 7w1d

Clomid 50mg + IUI#2 = BFN

Clomid 100mg + IUI#3 = BFN

Lupron + Follistim + IVF#1 = 11ER, 10M, 10F, ET of 1 expanded BBA 5-day blast, 2 Frosties. BFP! Beta 10/13 = 264! Beta 10/15 = 702! EDD 6/21/14

    If insurance covers both. I say go for IVF. I did both and they both require injections but the success rate is so much higher with IVF. So if you have to do it anyway might as well go for it. Good luck!

    IVF.

    I have no expirence with IVF but if our insurance covered even a portion of it I would totally ditch the IUI's.

    I agree, if the cost is not the issue go for IVF - success rates are so much better.

    DD conceived after 3 years of ttc.
    MFI - DH had varicocele repair and took Clomid to get DD b. 02/2010

    TTC #2 since 6/2010
    10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
    A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013. 
    DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair. 
    Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies. 
    Wishing, hoping, waiting.

    I'm going to be the odd one out & say try a cycle or 2 of injections/IUI. In my opinion it's less invasive and if you need IVF after you will have some insight on how your body will respond to the medication

    I am new to this board but I have to agree with PP.  I would try one or two IUI's.  Coming from somebody who had success with IUI, I am glad I tried it.  IVF cycle's are so much more invasive, why put your body through that if you don't have to.  Good luck either way though!

    I guess maybe it depends on certain factors like Dx, age, etc. I see both sides of the coin. What does your RE recommend? Mine encouraged IUI first since we don't have MFI and I'm under 35. You're so lucky that IVF is covered! We are totally OOP. Ugh.

    IVF vote here, and you are so lucky it is covered. We are OOP too and we have to wait years to save up for fresh cycle :( IVf now and if you were a good candidate for iui then it should take better as better control of where everything is. More taxing in you, but better chances
