Abortion difficulties

How do you deal with having an abortion and the father not being there?

Re: Abortion difficulties

  • I'm sorry that you are having a difficult experience. I'm not able to relate to your situation but I hope you find a path that is healthy and less stressful for both you and your child.

  • Ask for a referral from your OB/GYN for counseling services. A professional may be able to help you work through your concerns.

Personally I'm strongly against abortion, but if you feel that this really is the right thing then do it. I had a baby very young and I know that I couldn't take care of her, so I placed her for adoption. There are so many amazing women in the world and on this board even, that would love to adopt. Think about those people before you make your decision, please. Some might even be willing to do an open adoption, which is what I have with my baby girl, and it is the most amazing experience. Good luck to you and if you have any questions about adoption then please just ask. I'm open to any question!
  • That sounds incredibly difficult, I am so sorry you are going through this alone. Do you have any close friends or maybe your mother that could go with you? Ditto asking for a counseling referral. You can take comfort in the fact that if he will not be there for the abortion, then he is not worth your time or you. You are the most important person here and you should only think about yourself and what you need and want. **hugs**

  • *Hugs* I agree with going to a OBGYN or a facility like CareNet that could help provide you counseling.
