We had our first two week apt today... What!?! Ever since my first meeting the doctor has mentioned my bmi and continued to warn me about gaining to much. But today I actually got a compliment about it. She said my weight looked great, which for her is like a miracle! I continue to feel lucky with such a great pregnancy with zero complications. ( knock on wood). The baby is starting to "roll" more than kick, which is cool. I called and ordered my breast pump from insurance on Friday and jazzed about getting it sometime next week.
As far as nurture, honestly between moving twice and selling the house an starting my new job, Etc., I haven't even gotten a pedicure yet. But I think now that things are winding down I'll be sure to work in some things. I definitely want to work in a massage before this baby comes. Maybe two. And I have a pedicure to cash in . It's starting to get a little real that my "me" time is coming to a close for a while.

Not much new here. I guess it was around week 21 or so that I started to feel a little uncomfortable. My belly all of a sudden felt heavy and my skin felt stretched. But then it subsided a bit. I'm starting to feel that way again. I guess it's a sign of a growing boy?
I ordered a glider this week, so all the big stuff for nursery is bought. Just need to clean out the room, paint, and put room together!
A couple more day care tours this week so that we have back-ups. Our number one pick has a year long waiting list, though the principal told us that sometimes people get a spot after just a few months on the list. Fingers crossed.
QOTD: Yoga has been great. It is not only nurturing to my body, but allows me time to connect with the baby without a million other distractions and time to emotionally decompress. I'm also enjoying sleeping in and lounging on the weekends, as I had given that up for the past few years to get in an early morning run.
38 weeks tomorrow! Today I have my board exam for my LC credential and after that it's all about final baby prep and waiting for baby's arrival. Surreal.
Things that I've been doing to nurture myself during pregnancy include acupuncture (I went weekly in the first trimester, and now again toward the end), chiropractic (which was amazingly helpful for some SI joint pain and has kept me feeling good and most likely helped with baby's flip from breech), I've gotten a couple pedicures (and if baby stay's inside until later in August I'll get one more), and I'm getting lots of prenatal massage during the third trimester (once per week until baby comes). Meditation and yoga practice are also very nurturing. These have all helped balance the stress of my lay-off and this huge exam and have made it so that I've really enjoyed being pregnant and feel great.

Last weekend we started really getting stuff together. We had been waiting on putting the crib together and organizing clothes because a friend of ours is paining murals on the walls, but it is taking too long and I want things done! We also did a lot of baby laundry, and secured the closet shelf that we put in. We still have a lot to do, but at least we have some clothes ready!
QOTD: If planning a wedding in about 2 months counts ... ? We are going to be getting married on Thursday (!!!) and have actual solid plans, now. We will be getting married on a train! The guy who is officiating the wedding is a local personality ... you never know what will come out of his mouth. I hope he is entertaining (and I will let him know that he can ad-lib when he feels like it!) I took Friday off of work, and we have a date night planned.
I am doing fine from a preg standpoint. 23 weeks this week. Work is really stressing me out right now and some of the 12 hour shifts are wearing on me. I am not sure if it is preg hormones, or that my job is really just stressful right now.
QOTD: Not enough! I am working too much and need to take more time for me. I have a gift certificate for a pre-natal massage, I just need to schedule it.
