sleeping advice please

OK I am so paranoid about my daughter's sleeping... she passes out on her back and sometimes flips on her tummy. I am so scared she if going to suffocate. She is 7 months as of 8/1, should I still be worried or will she turn her head etc... I just need some advice

Re: sleeping advice please

  • No, this isn't something to worry about.  At this age babies are fully capable of properly positioning themselves.  Totally normal for them to want to sleep on their stomachs once they can get there themselves.

  • No need to worry. Once they can roll to their stomach they have the neck control to move it if needed. You don't need to worry as much anymore mama! (At least not about this! :) )

  • I know I panicked the first time I saw DD sleep on her tummy. But there is no need to worry. Like pp said, they have the neck control now to move around if they need to. DD sleeps better on her tummy to be honest.

  • I definitely wouldn't worry. I put DD on her belly, I actually started that when she turned 6 months old because she sleeps much better in that position. She's crawling now and I absolutely don't worry that she'll suffocate. There is only a tight fitting sheet on her mattress and a little doll that she sleeps with in the crib
