How long does your baby feed if EBF?

I know as babies get older they get better and quicker at eating but I am curious how long does it take them to finish feeding? how often do they eat? how many times a day/night.

DD will be 5 months old on August 3rd. She eats for about 15-18 minutes (both breasts combined) but sometimes she's done after 10-12 minutes. She eats every 2.5-3 hours during the day and usually 2 mid-night feedings. She was gaining weight really good up until a month ago but I am afraid she's not gaining weight as good right now. We have a balance at home and I weigh her weekly.

A friend who has a baby 2 weeks younger than DD was over yesterday and her daughter eats for half an hour every 1.5 hours.

It's really up and down depending on what he feels like and how our day is going. He eats every 2-4 hours during the day, usually only 1 breast, 20 minutes max (except morning and night feeds). He's sttn, 11pm-7am and goes straight back down after first feed for another 1-2 hours. Weight gain goes up and down too. Depends if he's growing, developing. As long as over the month or so, he continues to grow on curve we are happy. DS is up to 3rd percentile (from 1st).

Madison is 4.5 months and .nurses every 2-3 hours during the day for 7-10 minutes per side each feeding. She will usually sleep 9pm-3am then wake up to nurse.

This is the same way she has been since day 1

My LO eats about every 2 1/2 hours.. She eats for about 10 minutes.. Sometimes less.. But she's happy when she's done so I figure she's getting enough..

My 4 month old had been feeding very 2hrs (day and night) one breast 4-6min.  In early weeks it was 8-10 min she cut that in half around 10weeks of age.  She would refuse to even consider a second breast.

About 4 days ago she switched to feeding every 3hrs during day and every 4hr over night and now takes both breasts in a total of 8-10min. It was a sudden magical switch, I started to think she'd never last more than 2hrs!!

My ds eats more like your friend's LO.....30ish minutes every 90 to 120 minutes but he spends periods of those half hours not suckling. For example, he will suckle for 5 minutes and then stop for a couple minutes then start again for a bit longer then rest again. So he may be nursing more frequently and for longer periods but that doesnt mean he is consuming more.

Our LO is 3 months old and he feeds 10 - 15 minutes on one breast every 2 hours.  For the first few hours after he gets up and before he goes down for the night he eats every hour feeding for 10 min. one side.  He goes to bed at 10 and gets up between 5:30 and 7

DD just turned 3 months old. She nurses every 3 hours or so. I am only able to nurse on one side, and she eats for about 15 minutes per feeding. She is STTN -- from about 10pm-6:30am. She is gaining well (80th percentile for weight and 99th percentile for height) and is a generally happy baby, although now we're dealing with early teething (but that's a whole other thread/topic!).
