Inner thighs sore?

Forgive me if someone has talked about this, the search feature never works for me...does anyone have sore inner thighs? I've had a variety of aches and pains that I've heard others talk about and know is normal but for maybe a week my inner thighs are sore and I can't understand why. Too much weigh from my stomach? Lol anyone else??

Re: Inner thighs sore?

  • Is it "chub rub" or muscle/skin soreness?

  • define inner thighs.... does this mean right up by your crotch/pelvis... the tendons that connect to your thigh area (or whatever they are).... or literally your inner thighs. If it is you crotch area then yes, normal. Those tendons are attached to your pelvis and as your body releases the hormones to relax everything to get ready for delivery it can be sore. With DS I was a little sore, with this one it is SO bad some days it is so painful to walk, esp lifting my leg to put on pants or walk upstairs.
  • The baby, the amniotic fluid, the extra blood flow and weight all put strain and pressure on the nerves, muscles, ligaments, etc of the thighs/groin area making it all sore. Take some Tylenol, a hot bath with Epsom salt and do some stretches. That should help "some".

If the crotch/thigh connecting area is what you're talking about and you can't balance on one leg to put the other one in your pants then I feel your pain.  I have been having this only on one side for like 2 weeks now and asked my MD about it today at my appt.  She said it's just the normal loosening of everything down there and can make it really uncomfortable to walk and balance.

  • It's definitely not rub. Although there is plenty of chub there. :) it sort of feels like I used the thigh master for an hour yesterday - definitely muscle/tendon soreness. Just seemed like such a weird place!!
  • I have had this so bad my whole 2nd trimester. Walking, putting on pants, getting out of bed...all soo painful! Finally about 4 days ago I bought a 2inch foam thingy to go over our mattress to make it softer and I haven't had the pain since! Idk if that's the same problem you are having but it worked for me!

I'm going to have to get some foam for my bed then, when I get out of my bed I end up waddling for a minute until I can get my legs back in position.
Can't figure out a siggy for my life, but just in case: DD 6/11/04 DS 8/13/08 DD 10/4/13
  • Interesting. I always waddle out of bed in the morning, or at night to pee, between my back, legs, hips, sciatic, etc. lol
