Postpartum Depression

on the mend

Hello,

i'm just getting over the hump of my postartum depression, and from it i've lost quite a bit of weight. i am smaller than i was before i got pregnant and of course, everyone is noticing. i need advice on what to say to people who comment on my weight loss. i'm not ashamed of how i look now, i actually like the weight loss but i always clam up when people ask me how i did it. i'm too ashamed to say i was so sad i forgot to eat for 2 months and i dnt want everyone to know everything i put myself through. how do i respond?

Re: on the mend

  • This is one of those times where I'd use the baby as the reason.  If you're breastfeeding than say that it really helped your metabolism.  If not, simply say that taking care of baby keeps you in shape.

Congrats on getting over the hump!
