Britax Convertible Question

We are switching the boys to their convertible car seats, as I am having A LOT of trouble lifting the infant seats in and out of the car with two bigger babies and I'm terrified of falling down the stairs to our garage with those heavy seats! We put the boys in the seats to get the straps adjusted and I had a question about the included infant insert. I'm not sure if they are still supposed to use the infant insert or if it should be removed due to their size/ developmental level. The book doesn't seem to have any info about when the insert should be removed and when I Google the question, it just gives me information on another infant positioning insert (for purchase) that looks as though it is meant for newborns.

Sorry for the silly question, but we are at a loss! I plan to make an appointment at a car seat clinic to verify that we did it correctly, but we don't have any availability in our county and the next county over's police department can't see us for awhile. I know I'll be able to ask them then, I just wanted to check in advance. I don't know that it makes a difference, but we have the Britax Pavilion in case you were wondering. TIA!!

  • Thanks so much! While they do fit in the seats with it, I feel like I'm cramming them in there. So happy to hear we'd likely be fine to take it out. Thanks again!!

If you are on FB, join the car seats for the littles group. There are a bunch of car seat techs that moderate the group and you can ask all the car seat questions you want! You can post pictures of the boys in their seats and they can give you great feedback about the fit. I have learned a lot about car seats just reading the posts!
