Toddler W/ MRSA

My son has MRSA and we have been fighting it since March. We put him on antibiotics and it goes away, but always comes back 15 to 20 days later in his diaper area. Shows up in the form of pimples that turn into boils. I now give him bleach bathes twice a week and wash w/ antibacterial soap the rest of the days. It doesn't seem to be working because it just showed up again for the 5th time. I put antibiotic salve and a bandaid on the boils, but we always ending up having to go back on antibiotics. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Anything that worked for them? I am very frustrated!! I also have a 2 month old to worry about!

Has it been swabbed for culture and sensitivity? What antibiotics has he been on? In my area we typically use Clindamycin for mrsa skin infections in kids, but some strains are resistant to it.

It has been swabbed for culture 3 times, but I haven't heard anything about sensitivity. He has been on clindamycin the last two times. The boils don't get as large as they used too, but he still gets them!

I would definitely do that.  You need to see a specialist with him now.  Thats what they are there for :)  Hope it goes away soon.  My Dad recently had it too and it took forever to go away, but that sounds just brutal for it to be in his diaper area.
