Feeling like a bad mom ugh...

So this weekend stunk big time. Ds had Croupe last Thursday and once the prednisone wore off Saturday it seemed like he just got worse. Runny nose, fever, shakes all the fun stuff. Wont eat dinner r breakfast which is not like him at all. Not to mention a bruised cheek from falling getting on a kid chair the day before.

Then comes today.. Finally no fever so he isn't sitting on top of me all day today I figured its time to do some packing since we move in less then two weeks. In less then five minutes he tries to get on top of the ottoman that the dog uses to get in the bed and falls face first onto the bottom of the wood bed and his two little top teeth go through his lip to the outside. Horrible horrible horrible. Blood everywhere so call my husband to come home and we take him to the hospital. Thankfully hours later all is well. No stitches needed because they said mouths are so dirty it's worse to do anything inside the mouth. I'm glad all is good but It definitely scared the crap out of me. No more packing with my son! I get the bad mom award for the day

Now after all that I'm spotting again wtf?!! Friday can't come soon enough...

Aww, poor little pumpkin. Don't feel guilty though. You didn't do anything wrong. These babies are so fast and get hurt so quickly. You're a great mom and LO will feel much better soon. Big hugs and GL with your move.

Thank you. It just feels so bad because you never want it to happen under your watch you know. And then I wonder what these doctors think of me between his cheek and lip and I know it's going to be horribly bruised tomorrow.

I swear it always happens like that! E fell and busted her nose on the same toy twice in 24 hours. The docs can tell between legit injuries and things to worry about. Big hugs.

Poor little guy. This is just the beginning of many bumps and bruises. Im sorry it was such a rough weekend and glad he is ok.

Poor baby! And poor mama! I know it's hard, but don't beat yourself up. Little kids fall, a LOT. It is definitely not your fault.

Wow now that is bad! But not surprised. One of my friends is a DC teacher and just switched to Alexandria because he said it was incredibly draining. I guess with DC you give all you got for 5 years or so then have to move on to another district.
