Cloth diaper service

Anyone use a diaper service? We are planning to cloth diaper the boys and my Dad offered to buy us a service for the first couple months so I don't have to worry about the laundry right away. How many diapers do you think we need to have for a week? 70 per baby enough? 140 diapers a week sounds like so much! Do you think it's worth it or should I ask for him to buy us some one size diapers instead and use disposable until they fit?

    If you are planning to continue to CD long term I would just buy OS and use disposables til they fit.  I used 2 cases of disposables and then our CD fit around 2 mos old.  We have 40 OS Alva pocket diapers that I got through a co-op, 2 hanging wet bags and about 6 medium size wetbags for the diaper bag.  I do laundry every 2-3 days.  The whole set up cost me ~$300 or less.  We do use Huggies overnight disposables because my girls sleep 12+ hours and I haven't yet found a CD solution for overnight.
