Teeth or growth spurt?

LO is 4 mo today and has been extremely fussy. She's been nursing quite a bit, but also drooling a ton and screaming like she's in pain. At an appt last week the pedi said teeth were close, but I can't feel anything yet. Could this just be a growth spurt or are the teeth actually causing her pain? She has been pushing her tongue against her gums too. I hate not knowing what's bothering her!
