4. QOTD: Other than having a baby, what are you looking forward to the most about not being pregnant anymore?

1. How far along are you now? 41 weeks + 6

2. Any upcoming/recent appointments? I go to the hospital tomorrow afternoon at 2pm for a check up and to discuss possible induction. I'm very on the fence about what to do. I really would like to have a pain-med free birth, and I know my chances of that drop significantly with an induction. I also just got word that my doula's grandmother is dying, so she may not be able to come to my birth anymore... SO... I don't know. I guess I will see what they have to say tomorrow, see how favourable I am, etc. and go from there.

3. Anything you'd like to share, talk about, vent about? I'm in a much better head space than I was. I think because an end is in sight. I know I can't be pregnant forever, so this will all be over soon enough. Just trying to relax while I can. As one of my good friends said, I'll be having sleepless nights with a screaming baby soon enough!

4. QOTD: Other than having a baby, what are you looking forward to the most about not being pregnant anymore? Sleeping on my stomach. Cannot. Wait. Also, getting rid of the crazy reflux and, therefore, being able to eat after 5pm.

1) EDD was the 27th, so not that overdue

2) Dr.'s appt was this morning. Baby has more than enough fluid in there to keep her high and happy, placenta is only slightly calcified. So she's fine.

3) The temperature has finally gone down enough that I don't spend lunch hours spreadeagled on the bed in the path of the fan. My vent would be people at bus stops that stand next to me and light a cigarette. I mean, I would understand if they were already standing there when I arrive - then it would be kind of drama queen on my part to go up next to them and then insist they stop smoking. But, seriously, if I was there first, I don't consider it too much of an effort to think "hey, maybe I shouldn't light up next to the highly pregnant lady". Ah well.

4) Sleeping on my stomach is definitely high on the list, PP! Also being able to sit at my desk with out feeling like I need a cutout for my stomach to be able to work comfortably....

2. Any upcoming/recent appointments?

I'm calling this morning to make my 41 week appointment. Le sigh.

Edit: The soonest my OB can see me is Friday at 2pm. So, looks like I will be 41 weeks and 1 day at that appointment. (If I make it)

3. Anything you'd like to share, talk about, vent about?

I am floored as to why this boy is staying put. I have contractions and they are moderate, but nothing that screams, "get thee to the hospital". Its maddening.

4. QOTD: Other than having a baby, what are you looking forward to the most about not being pregnant anymore? Being able to move without pain and not feeling like a huge freakin' whale.

40 w 6 days
U/s this morning. Apt on wed morning to look at options.
If this babe isn't here by friday i will have to change hospitals and travel 2 HRs to have this baby. I really didn't want this but have a feeling that is wwhat will happen. That also means i probably won't have my med free birth or get to keep the babe in my room like i would here. I am trying to keep an open mind but its hard.
I am looking forward to wearing my ownshoea. I have been forced to wear mh's crocs for the last 3 weeks due to swelling.

3. Anything you'd like to share, talk about, vent about? I was really hoping to bring LO to my family reunion this weekend (only an hour away), but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I will either miss it altogether or it will just be pregnant me and DH in attendance.

4. QOTD: Other than having a baby, what are you looking forward to the most about not being pregnant anymore? Bidding adieu to all of this hip pain I get while sleeping.

I really hope your LO comes before Friday so you don't have to change hospitals!

3. Anything you'd like to share, talk about, vent about? As of last week, I was still closed up. My OB said I was softer, but that's it. I am hoping there is at least some progress today

4. QOTD: Other than having a baby, what are you looking forward to the most about not being pregnant anymore? Non-maternity clothes

2. Any upcoming/recent appointments? Inducing now, got the pit on.

3. Anything you'd like to share, talk about, vent about? Im scared, nervous, emotional. I think if i had a surgery, broken bone or something major prior to this id be okay, but i havent had anything yet in 29 years.

4. QOTD: Other than having a baby, what are you looking forward to the most about not being pregnant anymore? Sushi. Wine. one pillow on my side of the bed and sleeping on my stomach. Lunchmeat. Working out without the pain. Gettin back to body pump. Sitting comfortably in the couch.

2. Any upcoming/recent appointments? Appt Friday, not Thursday. Hoping I don't have to go!

3. Anything you'd like to share, talk about, vent about? My husband has eased up on the "anything new?" texts and found an article today that gives 288 days post-LMP as the median gestation for uncomplicated births to white women. Which puts us at Friday - an August baby! Sometimes I think DH is more frustrated about this kiddo taking his/her time than me...

4. QOTD: Other than having a baby, what are you looking forward to the most about not being pregnant anymore? (Hopefully) having less hip / left rib / back pain. Getting back to running (*weeks* away - I'm not that crazy). Sharing the news with everyone so I can stop ignoring texts/emails/phone calls. But I will miss the silence.

cant get an appt until friday at 2 so I will be 41+1 (ugh) to discuss induction. Last check of my cervix was 1cm and soft but she was sitting very high.

3. Anything you'd like to share, talk about, vent about?

I have been trying to keep my hopes up but it almost seems like she is just never going to come out. It's frustrating the heck out of me. DH is trying to be very supportive and helpful but it's not helping my mood any.

4. QOTD: Other than having a baby, what are you looking forward to the most about not being pregnant anymore?

Oh where do I begin... Sleeping on my stomache, sleeping in general, working out, not being in pain all the time, oh and not feeling like a whale anymore.

Good luck!! I hope your induction goes smoothly. I've never had anything major happen to me either, so I definitely see where you're coming from with the nerves and emotions!

On my way to the doc now! Fingers crossed I'm dilated some so that a membrane strip is possible.

3. Anything you'd like to share, talk about, vent about?
Feeling pretty optimistic today.

4. QOTD: Other than having a baby, what are you looking forward to the most about not being pregnant anymore?
My feet being smaller, my hand swelling (and the pain associated) to go away, being able to sleep on my back, cocktails, more caffeine, and wearing regular clothes again!

Update: went for my us. Mentioned to the tech a twoonie sized area of pain on my lower right side. She took a look at my kidneys and found the right one severely swollen. Two hours later my OB saw me in emerg (luckily he was the Emerg dr on call today). He figures its hydronephrosis. Waiting on results tomorrow. Depending on what they say may be induced by Wed if not he will break my water on Friday here and only send me to the bigger hospital as a last resort. Oh and the babe is doing fine... all 9.5 lbs of him. Yikes!

That's no good. I hope things go better but looks like you might have a light at the end of tunnel here soon. Glad baby is doing well, but swollen kidney sounds super cruddy.

Glad the baby's doing well! Kidney issue does not sound fun, though. Hope you're feeling better soon!
