Cute or ridiculous??

Ok so I was just playing around with this tu tu table cloth I made for a friends baby shower a few years ago. I've been planning to make a crib skirt for my baby but since I had all this tulle laying around I figured I would play with it a bit. So tell me... Is this cute, or way over the top ridiculous?? I can't decide, and I already know what my husbands opinion will be

The mattress isn't in the bed yet, but I want to have a gray fitted sheet. Maybe white with grey polka dots or something, but my theme is pinks white and grey.

Eta- it will be tucked under like in the second picture, and there is not yet a mattress in this crib.

It made me smile big, so I think it's somewhere between cute and ridiculous. That just about perfectly describes my dd, so I think I love it. I think my puppy dog would love to shred it into a million pieces though.

I get your hesitation, but having a very girly daughter I know she would LOVE something like that. It's a lot for adults but these girly girls can't go over the top enough! You'll see

I am a girly girl and am in between cute and ridiculous. I think I would like it more if it was a softer pink?? I am not sure. You are better than me though cause I have not a creative bone in my body.

I think it's super cute, and just because you have a tutu bedskirt doesn't mean you need to go over the top with other decorations...

And I agree about the grey- I think having grey around would offset it enough to not be overly girly.

I could never do it. Wayyyy too over the top for my taste. I'm also someone who would never put an actual tutu on my child unless she was a real ballerina. BUT if you like it then go for it.

I don't mind girly stuff, but this is nms. I think there is just too much. Maybe if there weren't so much tulle and it weren't so high up. Like if it started below the mattress and just stuck out at the bottom or something. Idk. There's just something about it that doesn't work for me. I think it has potential though. But again, there is just too much for me.

I love tulle, but it may be a bit much. I'm doing the same colors in my nursery, but using pink grey and white chevron with hints of polka dots and solids. I found these cute tulle Pom-poms you can make and hang from the ceiling on Pinterest. That might be a good way for you to include a little froo froo to the room!

Thanks for the responses ladies! It will look more like this when its actually done, not so poufy. Also the mattress is not in there yet, but I will have a gray and white polka dot sheet on the mattress that will help tone it down a bit.

I am not a girly girl, either, but you know what... being pregnant with my baby girl makes me want to put her in super cute ridiculous sh!t, just because, well, she is so precious to me, and so adorable. . . . . I honestly can Not help it.

When I first got pregnant, I swore I would not put her in anything pink. It was going to be green everything (since that is my favorite color) - - - maybe it is just my pregnancy brain, but this tulle bed skirt idea is too frickin adorable; I love it.

If the whole nursery is covered in pink that bright I would say a bit much, but since you are using it with softer colors I like it. I think I like the first picture a little better. If you are a girly, girl go for it. But, this is coming from a girl who had pink walls with purple trim growing up.

It's NMS but I think if you like it then go for it!. Maybe if you cut some off the bottom so it just barely sits at the floor? It just seems a little too bunched and wild.
