Diaper bag rec's...

I am so overwhelmed with diaper bag options. I know we want pockets inside and a bigger opening and no velcro. Any suggestions!?

  • Make sure its big enough to hold the baby... there will be days your arms are just soo tired, and those bags come in very handy.

  • I'm a fan of the Land's End zipper tote.  I plan on using something I already have and then when the baby's born and we know what it is, ordering the tote.
  • And make sure you have a zipper for "large" part incase the tiny whiney baby begins to cry you can just zip her right up!  They can be soo annoying sometimes. Gosh. Surprise
  • Pottery Barn Kids had some nice ones on sale. My mom bought one for me. No velcro or zippers - it has magnetic closur on the fron flap, pockets on the side and front (under the flap, and inside. Very gender neutral so DH will be comfortable using it too. It can be used as a regular bag (over the shoulder) or as a backpack. Bonus is that it doesn't look like a diaper bag so I will be able to use it as a travel bag after I am done using a diaper bag.

  • I bought the Coach one. We have a Coach outlet here. LOVED it.
  • I registered for mine at BRU and after looking at every single one in the store that they had I pick the Brown Lite Hobo one. It had a ton of pockets inside and out plus the inside was a light blue color which made it easier to see and find things then a darker interior color.

  • I bought a Kate Spade Zebra print one.  Cute and can be reused later as a regular bag.

     Outlets are great!!

  • I love our Skip Hop Duo. Basic, unisex, with plenty of room for the stuff you 'need" without the risk of having too much.  Still use it as our bag for DS...and will likely use it for LO.

We also have a Avent messenger style bag that is great because it has a cooler compartment in it that you can store expressed BM.  I used that when I was working, or to take to sitters/ Grandparents.  Also, it is plenty big to tote along all the breastpump parts.  Look for it on Avent's website, b/c it isn't carried in any stores that I've seen.
