Have you tried again?

For those who have had to use meds/IUI/IVF to conceive and LO is already here... How long did you wait to try for your next? Did you go ahead and try the natural route or just show up on your RE's doorstep ready to start the process all over again?

LO turns 1 tomorrow. We are so ready to get pg again. But I'm still BFing so we can't head to the RE yet. We are technically trying on our own for now, but with my PCOS and anovulatory cycles it's basically a moot point.

Nope didn't try natural because I only had one period so went straight back to shady Grove for testing before ds was a year. We started treatments 4 months later because I knew I wanted ds around 2 years older if it worked out. Good luck!

We never prevented after DD. When she turned 6 months I started temping again to try and catch that first egg. I didn't have a period until I completely stopped BFing at 8 month. I scheduled an RE appointment for a month after that first period. We ordered drugs for an injects cycle to start as soon as I got another period. I got a BFP the next day.

I haven't used BC since LO was born last June and will not use any BC again due to severe MFI. It is so unlikely I will conceive naturally that I willing to take the chance. I am planning to do a FET in December.

We went back to the RE when DS was a year old. I wanted to BF for his first year. We didn't TTC on our own since we had 7 frozen embryos we wanted to give a chance to. It took about seven or eight months to get a BFP. We were postponed and cancelled because my body sucks but the first time we actually made it to transfer was successful. Our twin girls are two months and our son is two and a half.

We aren't preventing but it is unlikely we'll ever pregnant due to anovulatory cycles and severe MFI. We were talking about going to the RE next December. DH wants to try one IUI (we went straight to IVF) then proceed with IVF if we need it.

I wasn't in any big rush to go back bc we had one frozen embryo and I wanted to BF for at least one year snd i had just started a new job.

I ended up BFing for 14 mos and then I took a few months to myself which was really nice to have a little break.

We did our FET when DD1 was 22 mos. We were lucky to have FET be successful, so our little girls will be 2 and a half years apart. I would not have spaced them any closer. But it's really a personal choice.

I haven't been on BC since DS was born last August, but we haven't really been trying just not preventing. We go back to the RE on Friday and will plan a FET for the fall.

We did IVF for DD. She will be 10 months when we head back to RE for FET (we have 7 frosties). I have to stop breastfeeding for 3-4 months before I start an FET cycle and plan to wean DD at 6 months.

I tried on my own for 5 months when LO turned one. I regret that decission. I wish I had went straight to the RE because here I am a year later with two losses and no LO 2 yet. I really wanted my LOs to be closer in age but God has other plans. GL to you.

This is me exactly - except I will not do an FET until next summer!

Our DD was the result of IVF and we had frosties. We went back to the RE 9 months after LO was born to do an FET when LO was 1 year or 13 months old. That cycle failed (c/p) and we did another FET cycle immediately after, which also failed.

Currently, everything is on hold, and we may or may not try again when I'm 35. The more that time passes, the less I want to go through this whole process again. My FET cycles this time were really hard, and I had a lot of side effects. I don't know if it was because we have a toddler or what, but it was really, really draining. I don't know if I'm ready, or ever will be ready, to go through cycling again.

We are not trying again. We had originally planned on having two LOs when we first started trying, but we're happy with one now. Between lack of IF coverage, my heart condition, and now being AMA, it's just not in the cards for us. We are looking into adoption once McNugget is a little older (3-4).

We stopped using protection 3 months ago and are hoping for a surprise for #2, but we have an RE appointment scheduled for late August. We are unexplained and injects + IUI worked for us last time. I am assuming that will be the route we will take if I am not pregnant before then. We are very ready for #2!
