pain

Hi ladies, i'm wondering how long this pain is going to stick around. I delivered my son on 7/23 vaginally. I was 16 1/2 wks. I was given misoprostol to help me pass the placenta. ibuprofen 600 was controlling the pain enough 48 hrs after delivery, so i declined a script for stronger pain meds. Since friday, the pain has gotten worse. Last night, it became unbearable. My doc called me in a script last night for tylenol 3, and im alternating it with the ibuprofen. The doc said its going to get worse before better, but im just shocked by how bad this is, normally i have a really high pain tolerance. Shes not concerned, and i have my first appt on wednesday.

Tylenol3's don't do a thing for me. Have they helped you with pain in the past?

I miscarried at 11/12 weeks and even though it's been 2 days since I passed everything I experienced a LOT of pain this evening. I think the hormones have our bodies all messed up inside.

I also feel I have a high tolerance for pain, but this has been like nothing I've ever experienced before.

(hugs) So sorry for your loss. So heartbreaking.

So sorry for your loss. My pain increased for a week after my d&c (not the same as a delivery I know) then eased off. I hope your pain gets easier. I'm so sorry again

Thanks everyone. I don't normally take any pain meds but Tylenol 3 worked when i had my wisdom teeth out. I figured try that before vicodin. I guess we'll see how this is wednesday. Hugs to all of you, appreciate your support.
