A boy name to go with Violet

I'm really struggling with boy names because I just don't love any of them. (I LOVE about a million girl names)

I think this is my narrowed down list but I'm open to suggestions based on this style.

Spencer- I *think* this is my front runner but I change daily

Grant

Everett- not sure how well it goes with Violet?

Leo

Fletcher- my husband doesn't love

Felix- my husband doesn't love

Our boy choice for my first pregnancy was Henry but we can no longer use it because its become very popular in our circle.

Our last name is similar to Carlton so I'm not really interested in anything that ends in the "in" or "on" sounds and I don't think anything that begins with "ar" sounds good, like Carter or Archer.

I don't like using nicknames and I'm trying to avoid a name with an obvious nickname.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I think Violet and Leo make an adorable sibling set. The letters from L E O are in Violet, just pointing that out, it wouldn't bother me.

To me Leo is a nn, not a full name. My favorite on your list is Fletcher. I like them together partly because of the "t" sound.

My first thought was Grant. I also love Leo. Spencer is cute, but very nerdy to me for some reason.

Spencer, Fletcher, and Grant are great names that go well with Violet, IMO. You said you don't like nn's- are you ok with Spence? I see that happening naturally.

I def think Spence will happen at some point but I don't think any one would ever introduce themselves as Spence... whereas Theodore would totally introduce themselves as Ted if that were their nn, etc. If that makes any sense??

I actually know a sibling set Everett and Violet, and think it's adorable! Spencer is on our short list, so that's definitely my 2nd favorite on your list.

What's wrong with Henry? Does is really matter if it's become "popular" in your circle? That's a name you liked before your first child, so why nix it just because other people like it too?

Because she probably doesn't want her kid to be Henry Initial amongst a ton of other Henry Initials

I love Spencer its both my DH and DS mn Leo and Violet sound great together as well. I like Fletcher but don't really see it as a sib to the gorgeous classic Violet? Not a fan of Grant- just sounds stuffy to me

At this point we know SO MANY Henrys that it would feel less special to name our son Henry. It sucks because I love the name, but I'm not excited about it anymore.

I LOVE Spencer and would use it for a boy very happily if our last name werent terrible with it.

I also like Grant.

I think either sound terrific with Violet.
