This is depressing

We are getting ready to move and have a garage sale. I have been going through the mountain of baby stuff trying to decide what to keep and what to sale. At this point we don't know if we will be able to have more kids because of my health. I have to wait atleast one year to even start trying.

No real point to this, just a pity party of 1.

Thanks ladies. I keep telling myself it's just stuff and it's not a prediction of the future. I'm just keeping the stuff that was expensive or has sentimental value. It is insanely ridiculous the amount of crap I have saved.

Thanks guys. I just wish I could get a definitive yes or no about more kids. I always assumed that I would be pregnant again by now, the past few months have thrown a huge wrench in my plans. I am greatly thankful for my son, but I desperately want another child.

I was unable to have another child b/c of my medical issues as well. I resisted getting rid of baby things b/c I wasn't ready to "give up" on wanting another baby. I finally "lent" my baby stuff to a friend, it was a little easier b/c I knew I could get it back if I needed to. Slowly but surely I have gotten rid of everything except the crib. What really helped me was taking the room we planned on as the nursery and giving it another purpose. I felt that the room mocked me in a way whenever I walked by b/c it was supposed to have my baby in it and my body was keeping that from happening. So about two months ago we turned it into a homework room for my son. He has ADD so having a quiet place without distractions is key.We built this house with the intent of that room being the nursery, so it was almost like closing a door.

Just this weekend, 6 years after I wanted another baby I heard a newborn crying and didn't get that tug of regret and feeling sorry for myself. That combined with the health issues that no one can fix and being on meds that cause birth defects, I'm *almost* ready for my DH to get a vasectomy....almost

I am so sorry that you have had to go through this as well. I feel like I'm starting to accept the possibility of no more kids, but I'm trying to not give up hope.
