Major fail

I took my one hour glucose test this morning and failed! Now on to the 3 hour. What a major blow. I've been really good but my doctor says bed rest can make people more susceptible to GD. Lets see what the 3 hours brings. God is really testing me today!

    Harley did you take your one hour yet? If so and if you failed how did your 3 hour go?
    If not good luck! It's not bad at all. I'm just bummed I failed.

    I got steroids back on July 9 and 10. It was over all fine. I'm an easy draw so the labs went fine and the drink went down fine, they had it really chilled for me. I did cut back on my carbs but assumably not enough. The worst is my birthday is Tuesday and I have been dieing for birthday cake and now I'm hesitant to have any! Buzz kill.

    Not sure when I will have to do the 3 hour. I only see my doctor in the mornings so I won't find out until tomorrow I am sure. Tuesdays are my NST day and Wednesdays are my US days. Maybe to full my week it will be Thursday!

    I'm sorry you failed. That really stinks. If it helps at all, I failed the 1hour by 5, and then failed the 3 hour. However my numbers have been low. I am watching how many carbs and sugar I'm eating, but that's something I should be doing regardless. They actually just cut back testing my glucose levels to 3 days a week because my fasting numbers have been under 90 and my 2 hours after meal numbers have been under 120, unless I eat something like pizza, or a lot of bread.
    Good luck, I hope you pass! If not you may be able to control it just with diet, if your numbers aren't too high.

    With my last dd I failed the one hour but still passed the 3 hour. So there is hope :) With this one, I failed both so I did end up with GD. But there are six years difference between these two pregnancies so I was not too surprised. In all fairness, I hadn't been eating all that healthy beforehand.

    Took the 3 hour this morning. I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes. Other then it wanting to come back up it wasn't to bad. Haha b
