So I just had to share a work story from yesterday. I was in a meeting and the conversation came up about a girl and they asked if she was working. The other woman at work responded with "oh no she's not working, she's pregnant" like it was just understood that pregnant women don't work. I actually chuckled out loud and then she realized what she said. Man if pregnancy meant you didn't have to work for 9 months I missed the memo!
Re: Working while pregnant
I actually talked to my boss about that this past week. He's going to get it cleared, but I can just log in remotely and work a couple days a week and get paid for them on top of my maternity leave. It's still in the beginning stages, but there are a lot of things that no one else can really do and it would be pretty difficult to train someone for them to only do it for a few weeks.
That actually happened to me!

Not a single person on here "judges" someone for not working because of complications. This insensitive board was more supportive and entertaining than anything I could've gotten from "real life" friends.
Quit having a pity party. If you can't work because of complications, I'm truly sorry. If you can work, but "it's just so hard, buck up. It's life.

Care provider: Discuss what's happening and how you feel. Its probably normal for pregnancy, but you might feel better with a different vitamin or diet.
Boss: Explain how you are feeling. See if its possible to alter your break/lunch schedule or work from home part of the time. (No clue what you do for work or if it's even feasible). Just realize that you WILL also need flexibility when returning after maternity leave.
SO/other support person: See what they can do so you can get more rest at home.
