I've been waiting for this day!

So today's the day! The first time DH and I are going on a date alone since E was born. We have gone out but it's been with friends, never alone. My mom is keeping E for 4 hrs this afternoon and we are heading to the brand new casino in Cincinnati. Can't wait to have a giant margarita at Jimmy Buffets margaritaville and who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and win some money! What are you excited about today? Share .....

    Have fun! We haven't ever been away from LO yet. I'm looking forward to DH getting home from work soon so he can take LO & I can hopefully get a nap.

    Want company? I live close to the new casino. Ha! Just kidding! Enjoy your date. I hear bobby flays has a bourbon vanilla milkshake. Yum! Win lots of money!

    Hope it was great and you won big!!! I'm having lunch and shopping with some girlfriends today. Soooo excited!!! Definitely need some girl time.

    That sounds wonderful!  Enjoy!  I just realized that we've ALSO not been out alone since LO -- like you, out with friends and nights it was just us out with LO, but not just the two of us.  Hmmm perhaps should get on that. ;-)

    We haven't even left yet but just the idea is making us giddy ! We are like teenagers again excited to get out alone!

    We had our first night out alone last Friday while my MIL was in town.  Its was SO nice, definitely reminded us that we are still us and really do still like each other!

    I am looking forward to going out to dinner and have a few drinks to celebate my lil sisters 30th b-day! SO's mom is going to watch DS for me!

    Booked it.  August 9th.  My mom said she'll take LO over night... we have Vikings tickets and that is the first pre-season game, so perhaps we'll do that and stay downtown in a fancy hotel. :-)  Jeez, I Hope DH hasn't promised that ticket to one of his guy friends yet!

    I am from Cincy but haven't made it to the casino yet.  Have fun and if it makes you feel better to call and check on your LO then do it!  Our first night out I kept trying to talk myself out of calling but then figured I would spend less time making a quick phone call versus worrying the entire time.
