  I nurse in baby's room after naps before bringing him out. She is usually able to entertain herself with her kitchen or dollhouse. Sometimes she chooses to go in her room to play instead, which has a gate. He won't nurse if he can see or hear her.

  kielpinskim I'm in the same boat.  We just bought her a dollhouse for her birthday in a few weeks so hopefully that will keep her busy.  Thanks everyone!

  I need 2 hands to nurse and DD#2 won't nurse if DD#1 (age 2) is running around crazy and making noise, she has trouble falling asleep also with lots of noise. Right now what is working for us is having DD#1 play with the toys in my bedroom while I nurse on the bed. She only gets to play with these toys when I am nursing or taking a shower.  When I need to put DD#2 down for a nap I go to nursery and DD#1 will stay in my room playing.
