My DH made one from a link saying it could be done for $25. It was closer to $50.... I advised my sister to just buy one for the hassle.

I used this walk through. I explained to the guy at Home Depot what I was doing and he had a few tricks do it might not be the same. A year later ours still works great. Good luck!
